Hello, I would be happy to test the tool that you have. I tried a threaded folder compare tool and it appeared to be extremely fast. I know another thing that I had issues with in the past with grid controls is that populating it as you find files and folders can really slow things down as well. I s...

Support multithreaded synchronization

I would love to see some speed improvements to Synchronize It. Some ideas I had were: 1) MultiThreaded directory crawler - Would check directories with a pool of threads. 2) Implementation of rdiff algorithm to support differential file comparison and the moving of file deltas instead of entire file...

Awsome! I like it even better. Now I remember reading this :-)
It works great! The only minor issue I guess is if you want to change the first file you want to compare to another file before you set the second file.

But I can live with that and I like the simplicity.

Great work!

Idea for shell integration

I love Compare It! I happened to install a new version of my favorite text editor UltraEdit and I noticed that the compare tool that they sell does something neat. From the shell window you can select the first file you want to compare and then the second and third before the program opens. It is ha...

Glad you got it to work.
Reguarding a .Net version...
I really like the single exe of the program. If you wite it in .Net it will reduce portability, add a dependency and most likely slow down the program :-(

Package product for U3 devices

It would be a wonderful thing to get packages for your products in the U3 format http://www.u3.com/. It allows software to run off portable memory sticks. It is a really cool new technology that is worth checking out. It has a free developers kit.

Thanks!

Ok, I do see what you mean. The tree thing is not that important. Here are some other ideas: 1) Threaded so the sync screen stays refreshed with the current status. Perhaps a priority setting as well... 2) Resource authentication for network backup locations 3) Highly unlikely by an incremental back...

Thanks for the update. Looking forward to playing with the new version some more.

I hope your hard drive is working out. Never a good thing to go wrong....

Is there any chance we will see a tree view some day :-)
