Re: Compare It! and Synchronize It! development status?
I would like to see if these products are still under development? If not, it would be really a great shame as Compare It! and Synchronize It! are really useful tools that may sill need some improvements. I agree with that. We use these products on a regular basis (both at home, and CompareIt! for ...

Re: Happy New Year
Too bad, but I know what you mean. Coding takes a hell lot of time, which one usually doesn't have. I just hope that if something serious should occur (e.g. Microsoft update breaking your software), you would not just drop it. You have created great tools and I hope we will be able to use them for a...

Re: Delete files only one one side
Similar to TotalCommander ... yeah, I do agree, I would also welcome such functionality (for now, I have to use TotalCommander if I want to achieve this).

Re: Happy New Year
Ah, 3 computers? That's very generous! I really didn't realize that - well, good for you, maybe that way the project will live for a little while longer
Your trick worked perfectly, thank you very much!

Re: Happy New Year
Ok, I got three shiny licenses for CompareIt!. Now the "problem": So far, I've been using my private license on my machine at work (sorry for that). Now, I would like to switch to the new license. But, how do I do that? The "Select Register!" menu item is no longer available, once you have registere...

Hooray indeed, I was a little worried
I just asked the IT-department of our company to order 3 licenses of CompareIt!, my colleges in the office were totally convinced by the trial

Re: Integrity Check
Thanks for pointing that out - I wasn't aware of that option. So, by simply unchecking "Enable Smart file comparison" I should be fine? And what exactly would happen if it scanned a file in a faulty sector of the harddrive? Would it throw an error that the file cannot be read or something alike? I j...

Re: Integrity Check
P.S. I was wondering: if you use compare by "date or content", or maybe rather just by content, should a read error on the source not automatically be detected? I mean, how could it compare by content if it can't read the content? In the help file you write: Modification of default rule, suitable if...

Re: Integrity Check
Ok, that's good to know. Thanks for the hint!
An option to check integrity before overwriting the target would be very suitable. Keeping multiple copies is not so easy if it's a lot of data. Even a TB-Drive will soon hit its limits.

Integrity Check
Hi Since I am currently dealing with a defective hard-drive, the following idea started to worry me: Because I never know, when the drive is going to fail again, I keep writing backups to an external drive using Synchronize IT on a daily basis. Because I don't have an infinite amount of space, I don...

Command Line Parameter for "Include all folders"
Hi, I recently started to invoke Synchronize It! directly from TotalCommander. This is highly convenient. I somehow didn't find a parameter to choose "include subfolders -> include all folders" (which usually is my default setting). Currently, I use the following parameters: "%P\" "%T\" /sync /R /XD...
