wincmp does not save file if osql.exe -i is run on the file

Post by oliverhat »

1) I am running "osql.exe -i file.txt"
2) I then compare file.txt with another file and make changes to file.txt
3) When I try to save file.txt in wincmp the file is not saved, no error message is given.
4) If I stop running "osql.exe -i file.txt" then the file will save correctly.
5) Is it possible that wincmp fails to save because the file is opened in another application? note: wincmp version 2.88 does not have this problem.

Thank you for report, I will study this. Is 2.88 able to save file, or it gives error message?

2.88 gives the message: "Failed to create file"

Thanks. How often are new versions released with these kinds of fixes?

I see that this fix makes the file uneditable when it is locked by another application. Thanks a lot for the fix!!!

Yes, but this works only if file is already locked when opening.
