I compare 2 files (1 being read only). I want to merge changes into the read only file so I go to explorer and make the file non read only. I still cannot merge as CompareIt thinks the file is still read only. A rescan doesn't help either.
Can rescan check the read only state of the file please.
Thank you for suggestion, I will make rescan to test this too. However Compare It! does edit read-only files, unless you have set special option in Options/Editor - "Do not edit RO files". When this one is not set, Compare It! will warn you about RO status before saving the file.
