Hi,
I have configured MS SourceSafe to use Compare It! als compare tool. (Extras->Options->User defined editors)
My problem is, that CI blocks SourceSafe or VisualStudio.
When I do a "show differences" in VisualStudio and CI comes up, it often hangs, if I press Ctrl-F to find a string.
Has someone else seen this problem? Any ideas how to avoid it?
I'm using CI 3.8.6.1769 and VisualStudio 2005 on Vista Ultimate.
Cheers

I am using compare it in vs2005 with no problems in windows xp.
However i would like compare it to allow a argument for a merged file.
It would be nice if you can add an extra argument to the compareit.exe
file path 1, file path 2, merge file path
Basically, I would like to indicate in the application which file i want to use as the merge file. either file1 or file2. maybe a check box. Then compare it spits the file out to the merge path on a save, or merge button click.
Thanks,
Walter
