Hiding the highlight of differences

Post by dandv »

Hi,

Is there a way to toggle the highlight of differences?

Sometimes, especially when the files are in Vertical View, I wanted to see the actual file content, without any highlights (i.e. black on white with the dafault color scheme). I'd like the virtual lines to be preserved, however, so the ability to simply toggle the highlight of differences would be useful.

As an example, suppose you have file1 with some lines and file2 which duplicates each line of file1. File2 will be half highlighted, half normal. What I'd like to be able to do is click on the "Source only", "Dest only" or "Changed" legend in the status bar and toggle the corresponding highlight.

Hope this helps other users as well,
Dan Dascalescu

Yes, switching it by clicking on status pane is nice. I will think how to duplicate this command in menu and will probably add this feature. Or, maybe, just a shortcut "Changes highlighting" similar to "Syntax highlighting"
