[closed] Paste in the text to be compared

Post by jostros »

Is it now possible, or in the future, to simply paste in the two text blocks to be compared?

When programming, it is often that the two soruce files are significantly different, but that there are many functions in them that do need to be the same. SInce you can't compare the files directly it would be useful to be able to simply copy the blocks that should be the same and paste them directly into CompareIT without first having to create intermediate text files.

In fact, this should be possible right now. Paste text in both panes, press refresh (F5), and Compare It! will display copmarison results without saving files. Are you trying to do this task in some different way? Maybe I'm minssing something in process, since I rarely do this myself.
I will check this feature once again.

PS. Happy New year! :P
