Problems saving sessions and projects

Post by DCEFrance »

I'm tring Synchronize It 3.3.1499 on a new computer running Vista.

When I installed I made sure I did not use the registry to save my settings.

I can add new Sessions and Projects all I want. I make sure I click on the diskette button to save each new Session. But when I exit Synchronize it! and re-open Synchronize It! they're all gone. I can see that the wndsync.ini file in the synchronize it folder is not changing when I leave Synchronize It. That date and time remain the same.

Even if I export my settings to a different wndsync.ini file my new sessions and projects are not in the new INI file. Therefore when I try and import that file none of my sessions or projects come back.

Help!

Registry?

Post by DCEFrance »

Thanks for your extremely rapid reply!

If I understand correctly I should ALWAYS use Registry in Vista rather than the INI file?

Will I still be able to backup my settings?

Yes, at the moment this is the only way. You can still backup settings by exporting them to ini file from Options dialog. A bit later I will add an option to save settings in ini file located in user's data folder.
