Compressed Folders not Copied

Hi Igor,

I have many compressed folders as subfolders deep within my directory tree.

When I synched with SI to a virgin drive - to my dismay :( - the folders were not copied as compressed folders (as one would expect from a synchronize tool  which is supposed to make identical copies so that one would have nearly identical usage of space on the different drives) but uncompressed.

Could you please fix this? :D

Thanks.

Regards,

Brahman

Hello,
Yes, this happens because Synchronize It!does not copy extended file attributes yet. But I'm going to fix this.

Hi Igor,

thank you, this is good news. :D

Sometimes in the next few days I have a big synch job to do involving these compressed folders.

Will it be soon that you fix it?

Have a wonderful weekend. :)

Brahman

Hi Igor,

just tried it!

Works like a charm! :D

You are the best. Absolutely amazing! Saves me much work!

I think you should advertise this new feature prominently on your web site and in your help file, because most of your competitors cannot do this!

Something like:

"Synchronize files and at the same time transfer extended attributes like compression and encryption:

Now SynchronizeIt! can copy your data including extended attributes exactly like they were placed on your source disk file system! SynchronizeIt! transfers the extended attributes like compression, encryption, etc. intact automatically without the need of any user intervention (the file system of the target disk permitting)."

Thank you so much!

Kind Regards,

Brahman
