Network-path doesn't work with tools

Post by calvini »

When I am comparing directories via network-path (starting with "\\SOMESERVER\SOMEPATH\"), tools don't work.

One of my "tools" is notepad, configured with {$ActivePath}. When I try to start it, I get the message:
C:\PROGRAMME\SYNCHRONIZE IT!\"\\SOMESERVER\SOMEPATH\foobar.txt" kann nicht geöffnet werden.
(file could not be opened).

For me it looks like SynchIt adds the path to the program itself infront of the files path, if the files path doesn't start with something like "C:\". I think, pathes starting with "\\" should be considered as absolute pathes just like "C:\" and no changes should be applied.

Wasn't this solved some time ago? I think some postings get lost during the last crash of the forum, for example the whole discussion about size of files in statusbar (and the "(null)" instead of "kb").

Yes, that's right, I have lost some messages, so have decided to give an answer here again just to avoid non-answered topics.
