500 ORT not understood

Post by cax574 »

I seam to be getting the following error message when trying to synch with FTP and then the synch process stops:

>> CWD /httpdocs/wwwstat/
<< 550 /httpdocs/wwwstat/: No such file or directory
>> PORT 192,168,1,12,4,196
<< 500 ORT not understood
>> QUIT
<< 221 Goodbye.

Any ideas on the work around? I am using synchronize It 3.3.1499

Thank you for your report!
Is it some public ftp server I could test?

Not sure what you mean by public. I would tend to say no, its not public since you need an ID and PW. I FTP to the server to upload and make changes to my web page located at the following link:

I see, thank you. Do you have an ability to create some test FTP account for me?

Hmm, in my tests it's working just fine, both with PORT and in passive mode. Maybe Passive mode will help in your case - you can set in FTP Servers configuration in Synchronize It!
Also, there is problem with wwwstats folder - currently Synchronize It! can not work with symbol links.

In passive mode I no longer get the error. However, once Synchronize It runs into the file called "wwwstat" it simply quits as you have observed.

This file is added by my server provider. Will see if they can delete it, I can't seam to delete it from my side.

No, this is link to the folder with your web site stats, you will not be able to delete it. This is problem si Synchronize It! I will try to fix that.
