I'm trying to use Synchronize It! to manage program source code between my PC and various UNIX and Linux systems. But files that exist in both places are treated as different files (not just that they aren't the same, but they are different file names).
For example the file write.i is on my PC and on the remote UNIX system. But they are listed separately. It appears if I were do sync it as it stands, write.i would be sent from my PC to the host only to then be deleted.
In this case the target FTP system is IBM AIX.
Also, is there an option for ASCII transfers with FTP?
PC <-> UNIX FTP Same-named files treated as different

Yes, I'm aware of the case sensitivity of UNIX file names.
No, I do not have user lower case file names checked.
I think it's something specific to Ain't unIX (IBM AIX). Seems to work correctly when the host is Red Hat Linux.
The automatic ascii/binary transfer is not working. I've sent/received files to/from the host and in every case it's done a binary transfer and not correctly converted the end-of-line sequence.
Thank you for the response.

Yes, the file names look the same on both sides. It's very strange in that some files do come across as expected.
It looks something like:
Source ............................ Target
----------------------------------------
- File1
- File2
- File3
- File4 .............................. File4
- ...................................... File1
- ...................................... File2
- ...................................... File3

Can you make a screenshot or report and send it to support@grigsoft.com? Maybe the problem is specific file names?
