Root Content Still Compared Even If Not in Folder Filterlist

Post by murphy »

I just updated to the current version 3.4.1640 from my pretty old version of June 2007, and was full of hope that some of the bugs being described here would have been solved since then.

Alas, files in the root directory are still compared, and I haven't found any way to avoid this so far ...

As calvini described before,

- root content is compared even if not matched by the folder filter pattern :(

- if an excluding file filter \*.* is added, nothing is found for comparison

- if an excluding file filter S:\*.* is added, WndSync wants to delete anything on T:

- when working with folder exclusion instead of folder filtering, adding \ or S:\ to the list of excluded folders does not have any effect :?

Is there any workaround I didn't manage to find out?

And noticing that the current version is even older than the thread I linked to above, is there maybe any beta version having this bug fixed already :?:

Igor changed the behaviour of the exclusion operators a few months back. It is detailed now very nicely in the help file.

Maybe that will help you with your problem.
