I installed version 3.03 and tried to synchronize ("Duplicate") 2 folders over the network without changing any option. An example is:
Source: C:\Program Files\SomeProgram
Target: \\SomeOtherComputer\C$\Program Files\SomeProgram
(I have administrative rights on both machines)
Synch It 3 always says the directories are identical, while Synch It 2.82 finds differences. I tried to map \\SomeOtherComputer\C$ to a drive letter but the result is the same.
It does not seem to be a network access problem since version 2.82 is able to perform the synchronization
Thanks,
Mik
Synchronizing over network not working?
My stupid mistake
Well, the only difference in the root folder was indeed the same file with a slightly different timestamp. And Synchronize It! did not find the differences in subfolders because I hadn't checked the "include subfolders" box.
Sorry for that.
Mik
Sorry for that.
